I'm with Fuse Energy for my gas and electricity, and I switched to them for a number of reasons.

Tariffs and Technology

Firstly, and most importantly, their unit rates and standing charges were much lower than what I was paying, and lower than the Ofgem price cap rates at the time (October 26). They also had fixed tariffs cheaper than the expected January 2027 price rises, so I've locked in good rates for the next 18 months (don't forget that prices can rise and fall, and exit fees apply to fixed tariffs, if you're comparing).

Another reason is that Fuse is very forward thinking with its apps, technology and way of doing business. It's designed for customers who are happy to manage their own accounts, and the main way to reach them is through chat, first with an AI (which I've found to be very good), then with customer agents if the AI can't answer your question. That won't suit everyone, so it's worth knowing before you switch.

Overall though, the onboarding was very simple, and Fuse connected to my smart meters on my go-live date, so the transition was seamless, so I'm very happy with my experience so far.

Dashboard and Energy Insights

Your energy provider's app can be an essential part of your energy saving strategy, and Fuse Energy's apps are really good. The dashboard shows your daily and monthly usage, a forecast for the current month, as well as your current tariffs, and you can toggle between kWh and cost for a well-rounded overview of your monthly bill.

Jules Plug-In Battery and Solar Panels

I'll also be watching their development closely, as they're planning to launch a plug-in battery and solar solution called Jules in 2027. I'm eagerly awaiting it as I look for new ways to manage my energy costs.
